If you want to open and or close sales with this rate at a specific time before the planned check-in of guests, you may add the respective restriction in Extranet Emerging Travel Group.

You may set the restriction in hours or days, and the count will begin from 00:00 of the planned check-in day, i.e. from the start of the day.

How the minimum time to check-in restriction works (closing of sales X hours before the check-in day)

Let’s say the guest plans a check-in for your room on 27 July and wants to book the same day, but you have set a restriction on sales so they cannot be made less than 10 hours before the planned check-in day.

Counting of the time starts from 00:00, which means that on 26 July at 14:00 (00:00 minus 10 hours) sales of this room become impossible and it won’t be possible to book it.

If you don’t want to receive any same day bookings then we recommend setting a restriction of 1 hour before the check-in day — in this case the rate will not be available for sale starting from 23:00 the previous day.

How the maximum time to check-in restriction works (opening of sales X hours before the check-in day)

Let’s say the guest plans a check-in for your room on 27 July and wants to book one month in advance, but you have set a restriction on sales so they cannot be made earlier than 20 days before the planned check-in day.

Counting of the time starts from the beginning of the check-in day, at 00:00, which means that on 7 July at 00:00 (27 July minus 20 days) sales of the room open and the guest may book it.

How to add a restriction to the rate page

  • Open the Rooms and Rates section in your online account in Extranet Emerging Travel Group;

  • create or choose the rate to which you wish to apply the restriction;

  • find the Booking restrictions block in the General tab;

  • fill in one or both of the following fields: Sales will open the following number of days/hours earlier and Sales will close the following number of days/hours earlier.

For example, if you want to open sales of this rate 24 hours before the check-in day, then set 24 hours in the field Sales will open the following number of days/hours earlier.
