How to create a rate plan

You can independently create rate plans in the web version of the Extranet.

  1. Go to the “Rooms and rates” section.

  2. Click “Create rate plan.”

  3. Enter a name for the rate plan (for example, “Standard”).

  4. Choose who will have access to this rate plan (active users, B2B users, or only as part of a package). See more details about package and B2B rates below.

  5. Select the payment models available for this rate: prepaid at the time of booking (Merchant) or pay at check-in (Agency). If you are working with the Hybrid model, you can select both options.

If your property has a payment terminal for remote card charges, you can request guest credit card details to guarantee bookings. To enable this, select “Request guest’s card at booking.”

Remember that Payment Error status is only available for bookings that meet the following conditions:

    • the booking was made using the Agency model (type of payment: “Payment at the hotel”)

    • the booking was made with a request for bank card details

    • in the Payment and Taxes section (Hotel tab), at least one type of payment system is indicated as the payment method

    • the check-in date for the booking is in the future

    • Payment Error status has not been assigned to this booking yet and the booking has not been canceled

  6. Set the cancellation policy and any applicable penalties. Please note that all penalties must comply with the laws of the country where the service is provided.

  7. Select the meal plan, if it is included in the rate.

  8. Click “Attach room.” If the rate plan is not attached to any room, it will not be available to guests.

  9. Click “Save

How package and B2B rates work

These rate types are intended for business clients and allow properties to significantly expand their audience — attracting not just independent travelers, but also travel agency clients and business travelers.

In general, these rates are lower than public rates for independent travelers, because travel professionals book in larger volumes and, before a guest receives a voucher, the offer passes through several intermediaries.

When you create these rates, you get access to several new sales channels:

  • RateHawk — a service for travel industry professionals

  • Roundtrip — a service for business travelers

  • API partners’ websites — companies that use API integration to upload ETG’s inventory to their own websites and sell to their customers

Package rates are only available when additional services are purchased (for example, train or plane tickets, transfers, car rental, or insurance policy).

B2B rates are divided into two types:

  • BAR — commissionable rate. Calculation formula: Net price – discount (20-25%) + commission.

  • NET — commission-free rate with the maximum possible discount. Calculation formula: Gross price – discount (20-25%).

Important: Package and B2B rates can only be created if you are working under the Hybrid or Merchant model.
