How to edit or delete a rate

Payment model

If you work with ETG under the Hybrid model, you can configure payment methods for your rates by selecting one or both of the following options:

  • Online payment at the time of booking (Merchant)

  • Payment upon arrival (Agency)

If your property has a payment terminal that allows remote card charges, you can collect guests’ credit card details to guarantee bookings. To do this, in the settings block “Payment model” → “Payment on arrival,” select the option “Credit card is requested for booking confirmation.”

More detailed information on working with card data is available in the article.

Linking a rate to rooms

For a rate to appear on ETG platforms, it must be linked to a specific room or to all rooms of the property.

  • Go to “Rooms and rates.”

  • Select the required rate.

  • Scroll down to the “Rooms” section.

  • Click “Attach room.”

  • Select one or more rooms from the list.

  • Click “Save.”

Meal plan setup

If you offer meals, you can include them in the rate or list them as an additional service in “Hotel” → “Facilities and services.” It is important to provide accurate and up-to-date information to avoid issues with guests.

To set up a meal plan included in the rate:

  1. Go to “Rooms and rates.”

  2. Open the required rate.

  3. Scroll down to the “Meal” section.

  4. Select a meal plan from the drop-down list, such as “Breakfast,” “Breakfast and dinner,” or “All Inclusive.”

  5. Click “Save.”

Please note: The price of a rate that includes meals must be entered separately via your channel manager or in ETG’s Extranet under “Rates and availability.” For example, if the room price without meals is $100 for two guests, and you add breakfast at $30 per person, you must enter the full rate price of $160 in the “Rates and availability” section.

Deleting a rate

If a rate is no longer relevant, you can delete it at any time.

  1. Go to “Rooms and rates.”

  2. Find the required rate and click the three dots to the right of its name.

  3. Select “Remove rate.”

  4. Confirm the action.

Please note: Once deleted, the rate will be removed from all rooms it was linked to.
