How to choose a room name

Selecting a room category name is an important step in managing your property, as it affects how guests perceive your offerings and impacts your sales performance.

A room category name is not just a marketing term — it represents a specific type of accommodation with defined requirements for comfort level and amenities. The name should reflect the actual level of amenities provided, as outlined in the “Rules and procedures.”

Accommodation Categories and Comfort Levels

Below are the main accommodation categories used on ETG’s platforms:

Shared room types

  • Bed in a shared room with N beds

  • Bed in a male shared room with N beds

  • Bed in a female shared room with N beds

  • Standard capsule

  • Standard capsule in a male shared room

  • Standard capsule in a female shared room

Hotel-type rooms

  • Economy room

  • Standard room

  • Classic room

  • Comfort room

  • Superior room

  • Premium room

  • Business room

  • Deluxe room

  • Junior suite

  • Suite

Units with kitchen or expanded living area

  • Studio

  • Apartment

Standalone structures

  • Bungalow

  • Chalet

  • Cottage

  • Villa

Important:

  • The "room" and "capsule" types cannot be added without specifying the comfort level.

  • The category name must be unambiguous. You cannot combine two types or levels, for example:

    • "Studio apartment" is not allowed, as these are two separate categories.

    • "Standard superior" contains two comfort levels, which violates the classification rules.

Such combinations may confuse guests and can lead to negative reviews if their expectations are not met.
